The **Bark River Ultra Lite Bushcrafter** is an ideal, lightweight bushcraft knife. The blade is thin, razor-sharp and exactly the right size. The handle offers a comfortable grip, which is what Bark River is renowned for. This knife was designed as a perfect backup knife alongside a larger bushcraft knife, or as a lightweight knife for shorter (day) trips. 

The blade is made from CPM 3V steel, a tool steel that is known for its exceptional strength. It is very hard to break, and also retains its sharpness well. You do, however, need to be careful with moisture and acids: CPM 3V is not completely stainless. Make sure to clean the knife after use and occasionally apply a drop of oil to keep it in great shape. The edge has a convex grind that can be maintained by [stropping](/en/ct/stropping.htm) it. 

The handle is made from camel bone. A beautiful handle material with a classic appearance. It immediately gives this version of the Ultra Lite Bushcrafter a sophisticated look. Camel bone is a natural material, which means that no two knives are the same. 

The Bark River Ultra Lite Bushcrafter comes with a leather belt sheath. You can carry it either upright (belt width up to 5.5 cm) or diagonally (belt width up to 6.0 cm). 

Bark River Knives makes all of its knives almost entirely by hand. This means that each knife is unique. Especially when working with natural materials, a knife may differ from the photos. Therefore the knife you receive might be subtly different from the product photos. The model and type of material, however, will always be the same.
