The **Bark River Trakker** is a large outdoor knife, made according to the classic Tracker pattern. The unique shape of the blade makes this Trakker incredibly versatile. Chopping and cutting: it excels at both. The possibilities in survival situations are numerous. The large belly is great when cutting on a flat surface. A cutting board, for instance. The hooked part of the blade is hollow and thin. With a convex edge. Great when making feathersticks.



The blade is made from A2 tool steel. A strong type of steel that would rather bend than break. You do, however, need to be careful with moisture and acids: A2 is not completely stainless. So clean it after use and occasionally add a drop of oil to keep this knife in great shape. The edge has been enhanced with a convex grind which you can maintain by [stropping it](/en/ct/stropping.htm).



 The handle is made from canvas micarta. A strong and light-weight material, made from linen and synthetic resin. Feels comfortable in hand, even in wet or cold circumstances.



The Bark River Trakker comes with a leather belt sheath. Stunning!




Bark River makes all of its knives almost completely by hand. As such each knife is unique. Especially when working with natural materials a knife can differ from the photographs. The knife you receive can therefore be subtly different from the product photos. The model and type of material, however, will always be the same.
