The **Autine Puukko** is a striking outdoor knife, based on the traditional Scandinavian Puukko. It is made by hand in a small workshop in Latvia. 



The blade is made from Elmax steel, hardened to 61-62HRC. And the heat treatment is something Autine is famous for. You can use amazing steel, but if it isn't hardened properly, the entire knife is worthless. Autine's Elmax steel retains its sharpness well. Which you would expect from 62HRC. At the same time, the blade is tough enough to not break or chip. The corrosion resistance is also great. With a blade thickness of only 2.5 mm, this knife has a nice thin grind. This gives it fantastic cutting properties. The spine of the blade is thinned a bit more on top of the tip. This knife is simply amazing to use. It can be used to cut through many different materials. The end of the Scandi edge is convex stropped for an extra durable cutting edge. And the edge is razor-sharp, as you would expect from Autine.



The handle of the Autine Puukko is made from *curly birch*. This birchwood has a nice wavy texture. There is a dark ebony bolster on the front. In terms of shape, the handle is relatively narrow, but high enough to provide you with enough surface for your hand. In true Puukko style, you won't find a finger groove on this knife. However, the handle is so beautifully shaped that it naturally locks in place in your hand.


The Autine Puukko comes in a leather sheath. It is relatively flexible and will take the shape of the knife after some time.
